HOUSE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 22
(By Mr. Speaker, Mr. Kiss, and Delegates Thompson,
Mahan, Susman, McGraw and Compton)
Requesting the Division of Highways to officially rename the New
River Bellepoint Bridge in Summers County the "Veterans
Memorial Bridge."
Whereas, All the highway bridges in Summers County are named
for their locations; and
Whereas, It is appropriate to name one of the bridges in the
county in honor of the veterans who have given service to the
nation; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Division of Highways officially rename the New River
Bellepoint Bridge in Summers County the "Veterans Memorial Bridge";
and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates is
hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
